Berdoll Sawmill’s Longleaf and antique Pine is custom milled from reclaimed beams and is available in limited quantities.
Longleaf Pines once covered 90 million acres from Virginia to east Texas. These trees now cover less than 3% of their original area. Forest were cleared by settlers to make way for development and the high quality lumber was utilized as building materials, ship building material and railroads. The trees that still stand are rightfully protected by conservationist and landowners, making obtaining this material difficult. We hope to repurpose these reclaimed beams for use in your home or business so that they may be enjoyed for years to come.
Our Longleaf Pine has been utilized in historical restorations to replace stair treads, banisters, wall paneling and flooring. This material is available to be milled into custom thicknesses, widths and lengths as well as full beams.
