Whole Log Lumber Packs
Our Pecan Whole Log Lumber Packs are:

- Surfaced: 4/4 is flattened and planed to 15/16”

- Kiln Dried: To 6–8% moisture content

- Additional Information: Our Whole Log Lumber Packs consist of boards that were all sawn from the same log. Prior to sawing the log, we spraypaint concentric circles on both ends of the log with designated colors that correspond to the annual growth rings of the tree. The log is then sawn “for grade” with an emphasis on producing as many bookmatched sets if possible. The boards are kept together throughout the drying process. After drying, the boards are flattened on one face and then planed to 15/16” thickness. As the boards exit the planer, they are stacked in 48” wide layers and each layer is photographed. Therefore, you can see a picture of one face of each board that you will be purchasing. This process allows you to “put the log back together” and is ideal for customers wanting to color match and grain match entire spaces, such as kitchens and bedrooms.
